The 4th session of the Clarkson Foundation Inc. Parent Education and Personal Development Programme was held at the Gordon Greenidge Primary School on the 17th of February. Mr. Colin St. Hill of PAREDOS was our featured speaker for the day and he touched on a number of issues related to parenting.
It was a very interactive session with Mr. St. Hill drawing information and examples from the participants.
Using an analogy of baking a cake in relation to raising children, parents were reminded that the ingredients and methods used while 'baking' usually determines the outcome and shared some tips and tricks parents may use and to promote positive outcomes.
Mr. St. Hill reminded those in attendance that effective communication is bidirectional and touched on some of the most common myths and facts on parenting.
This Parenting session was thoroughly enjoyed by all our participants who eagerly look forward to the upcoming sessions.
